My experience with this practice was great. Nick did thorough testing to determine my issues and then gave me several exercises to do. What I appreciated most is he worked with me and my body to find the exercises that I could do to benefit me the most. I highly recommend Nick and Essential Physical Therapy.

I've been working with Keith Blackwell for the past several months and made great progress after a serious fall, hospitalization and two months in a wheel chair this past summer. The exercises he's given me have greatly increased my strength and I highly recommend him.

Essential Physical Therapy people have been so nice, kind and very understanding with me and my recovery. they are always encouraging me , they help talk me off the edge too.But they push me just enough but they listen and will tell me when to quit when i cant go any more. they are so very nice and they treat me like i am their only patient.

I had pinched nerves in my neck causing a lot of pain, but also numbness and tingling in my limbs. After a few appointments, I now have had almost no pain for several weeks AND I can feel all of my fingers! We now have a plan to help me get stronger and keep moving. I am so grateful for Keith & Carrie Blackwell and the staff at Essential PT. They helped me get my life back! Highly recommend!

Essential PT Review New to Eugene, I needed physical therapy to help recover after surgery for a broken ankle. From the first evaluation visit I knew I was in the right place - a surprisingly inviting, home like environment - a friendly, happy working environment - caring, intuitive, professional staff. I have no doubt these have added to the success I’m experiencing in my recovery. Essential got it right from the start and at every stage, customizing my exercises and therapies for effective results. I do have to do the exercises, of course! Keith Blackwell has shown me great exercises to help with my neck pain. I have pictures and well written explanations of my exercises so that I can keep doing them. I have ongoing osteoporosis that cannot be cured but his exercises greatly relieve the pain and help me to sleep in the middle of the night when I cannot sleep. I would certainly recommend even a few visits for help with the pain of osteoporosis through exercises.

Nick and Keith have been so knowledgeable and compassionate in helping to resolve my sciatica pain. A previous PT called my back issues "complex", my symptoms not what would be expected given my MRI results. Nick wasn't deterred, he doesn't just prescribe exercises by the book, but takes the time to listen to how I'm doing and feeling, working with me as a partner in my recovery. The office is very welcoming and the front desk staff, Kristin and Mark, are so supportive and respond quickly to my questions and emails. Best PT experience I have ever had!

Absolutely wonderful place! Nick, Keith, and Zack are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They genially care about the people they help. It’s also a dog friendly environment💖 they are patient and optimistic people to be around and great motivators. Wonderful place. The front person is wonderful as well!

I can’t say enough good things about the group of people at Essential Physical Therapy. My most recent injury (herniated disc) brought me back there. Kieth was able to fit me into his schedule for a same day appointment on his day off. After my initial appointment I was seen by Nick who was also amazing. He diagnosed my exact injury weeks before I was able to get an MRI. If your looking for a place with friendly and welcoming people this is the place.

My PCP recommended Essential Physical Therapy. My first visit, I found out and experienced that my upper body was not very flexible. Keith Blackwell showed me stretching exercises that I can do to start getting more movement back. He took videos of me doing the exercises on my phone. This allows me to replay them to validate that I am still doing the exercises correctly. I have been going every 3 weeks to review my progress and get new exercises to improve my flexibility. I feel we are making good progress. What a blessing.
